2019 Friday Night Floyd Artisan Market

The Friday Night Floyd Artisan Market is held every Friday night from 5:00-9:00 pm from late May through the end of October at the Floyd Community Market.

2019 Radford Farmers Market

We offer locally grown and produced foods in a 50 mile radius. Our offerings include eggs, micro-greens, grass-fed beef, pork, lamb, herbs, organic & forged produce, teas, honey, baked goods and fresh cut flowers.

The Radford Farmers Market also has entertainment on most Saturdays. In 2019, if you ride your bike to the market, get a free bike tune-up and meet fellow cyclists with our partnership with New Wheel.

2019 New River Water Trail Fireman’s Poker Float

The Volunteer Fire Departments in Giles County present the 2019 New River Water Trail Fireman’s Poker Float on Saturday, June 22, 2019 starting at Whitt-Riverbend Park in Ripplemead, VA.


• 8:00-11:00 am: Day of Registration

• 8:30-11:30 am: Pre-Registered Participants Arrive

Support Eggleston, Newport and Pembroke Volunteer Departments. Join us for a day of fun on the water and see if your hand is the best all to win some great prizes while supporting three local volunteer fire departments!

Bring your own kayak or canoe or rentals will be available. 

• Grand Prize: Jackson Big Rig Kayak ($1,600 value)

• Second Prize: 1 night, 1 day stay at New River’s Edge ($600 value)

Maple’s Dog Paddleboard Party

Minor League Baseball: Danville Braves vs. Pulaski Yankees (Field of Dreams Night with Dwier Brown)

The Pulaski Yankees minor league baseball team hosts the Danville Braves on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at historic Calfee Park.

Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of baseball’s best movies, “Field of Dreams”. “Field of Dreams” actor Dwier Brown will join us at Calfee Park. He played John Kinsella, the father of Kevin Costner’s character in the film. A limited number of special meet and greet packages are available.

The special meet and greet ticket includes admittance to a Q&A session with autograph opportunity, game ticket, and light refreshments. Limited quantities are available.
