2019 Easter Egg Hunt on Horseback

Winterfrost Farm presents their 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Horseback starting on Friday, April 12, 2019 through Sunday, April 14, 2019.

The 11th Annual Virginia Tech 3.2 Mile Run in Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am starting outside War Memorial Hall.

Hokie Village Fan Festival for 2019 Spring Football Game

The Hokie Village Fan Festival will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 before the 2019 Virginia Tech Spring Football game at Moseley Turf Practice Field beside Thompson Field and across from Lane Stadium.

The Hokie Village is a fan and family-friendly festival that will give fans the opportunity to come to Blacksburg on home game days and provide them with free pregame entertainment. Hokie Village features inflatables, tailgating games, concessions, music from the Marching Virginians and appearances by Virginia Tech student-athletes including the Spirit Squads and HokieBird.

The Village will be held on the turf soccer practice field and can be accessed by both the Beamer Way gate entrance and the Thompson Field entrance.

2019 Native American Heritage Festival

The City of Radford presents the 9th Annual Native American Heritage Festival on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Bisset Park.

Traditional traders, crafters and food vendors will be on hand with authentic arts and crafts reflecting the cultural heritage of the different tribes of Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland.

The Grand Entry starting at noon will be a procession of many tribal affiliations, head dancers, elders and children. The Master of Ceremonies Lowery Begay will direct the activities in the dance arena and will explain the symbolism, protocol and spiritual meanings of the dances, regalia and drums to the spectators. Medicine Scout will serve as the Host Drum.

All dancers and drums welcome! There is also a $250.00 Luck of the Draw for dancers in full Regalia.

2019 Virginia Tech Football Spring Game

The Annual Virginia Tech Maroon vs. White Spring Football game will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Lane Stadium starting at 4:00 pm which has been officially announced by Virginia Tech Athletics.

Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM

Location: Lane Stadium – Blacksburg

This is your first chance to watch the 2019 Hokie football team. Saturday’s game will consist of a controlled offense vs. defense scrimmage with some limited special teams situations. Coach Fuente will dress the defense in Maroon (visitor) and the offense in White (home).

Following the Spring Game and a cooling off player for the players, players will be available for a post game autograph session on the field that will last an hour.

Concessions will be open and the University Bookstore will have their stadium stores open. Admission and parking are free. Seating and parking are first come, first serve basis. The game will be broadcast on the radio on 105.3 FM. Note: The clear bag policy will be in effect. All bags that enter Lane Stadium must be see through.
